AN EXPERT'S OPINION

INSIDER TIPS - AS IF YOU HAD BEEN THERE!

  • Escape to a tropical paradise.
  • Located less than one hour from the capital Stone Town, on the famed Matemwe Beach, with a warm, calm lagoon and kilometres of soft white sands and turquoise seas. We are a beachside sanctuary, your place in the sun, an ocean of tranquillity away from the stresses of modern life.
  • The style is Arabesque; natural breezes cool the rooms with elaborate carved doors at the entrances – staying true to the natural minimalistic feel, whilst incorporating elegant and simple local culture and design. The raw beauty of being so close to nature is our charm.

ROOMS:

  • 3 x Villas;
  • Poa House has a family suite and two double rooms which can be booked separately, or for one private party of six to eight people.

LOCATION / GETTING THERE

A perfect location to enjoy the wonders of Zanzibar. Located less than one hour from the capital Stone Town, which is steeped in history.

The bustling capital and ancient trading post of Stone Town has crumbling palaces and a labyrinth of narrow
streets. Once the center of the Omani empire spanning the Indian Ocean, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A Swahili Islamic culture influenced by Persian, Indian, Arabian and European traders, colonisers and merchants.
Nowadays, the town has coffee shops, bars, traditional and modern restaurants, souvenirs and fashion shops, art galleries and rooftop terraces from which to enjoy the sunsets.

A guided walk around the town to experience the unique atmosphere is recommended.

Zanzibar also has a vibrant music, film, fashion, arts and food scene.
